Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our school is open to students and families from a wide range of belief systems. While we do have many families who send their students to reinforce the principles of Bhakti-Yoga that they uphold at home, it is not a requirement for admission.

  • The Hare Krishna School is a strictly lacto-vegetarian school.

Our school does not allow for the consumption of meat, chicken, fish or eggs on campus.

The school provides freshly cooked lunches to all students daily, as part of your school fees.

We encourage our parents to provide healthy, whole-food based recess (and crunch and sip for years Pre-K to Year 2) with minimal packaging.

We also request that you also do not pack soft drinks, chips/crisps, chocolates, cakes or other refined-sugar heavy items.

  • As a Krishna Conscious school, our Sanskrit and Shastra classes make up a core part of our studies, and our school philosophy.

The values of Bhakti-Yoga taught during these classes also allow our students to cultivate their own spiritual wellbeing, with firm foundations in the values of compassion, cleanliness, self-regulation and integrity.

  • Although we are required by law to keep a record of students’ immunisation status, we do not require children to be immunised to be enrolled at our school.

Please be advised that your child/ren may be asked to remain at home if an outbreak of a serious matter occurs.

  • 8.50 AM is the recommended arrival time, but no earlier than 8.45 AM as there will be no supervision on campus at that time.

  • Students who arrive after 9:00AM are required to enter via the Administration office to sign in and receive a late pass. This is applicable to all students from K-12 and ensures that we have marked them in as present for the school day.
