Our Pledge
At Bhaktivedanta Swami Gurukula School, we are fully committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every child is valued, protected, and respected.

We embrace and celebrate diversity and inclusion by ensuring that every student is supported in a safe and respectful learning environment regardless of background, ability or belief.
Our Approach
We will listen and respond to the views and concerns of all children.
We support and respect all children, staff and our volunteers.
We have a zero tolerance for child abuse. All allegations and safety concerns will be treated seriously and consistently, in line with our child safety policies and procedures.
We have legal and moral obligations to contact authorities when we are worried about a child’s safety, which we will follow rigorously.
We are committed to preventing child abuse and identifying risks early and removing and reducing these risks.
We have in place screening procedures and recruitment practices for all staff and volunteers.
We are committed to regularly training and educating our staff and volunteers on child abuse risks.
We are committed to the safety of children from a culturally and/or linguistically diverse background.
We have specific policies, procedures and training in place that support our leadership team, staff and volunteers to achieve these commitments.

Child Safety Concerns - Report Form
At Bhaktivedanta Swami Gurukula School, the safety and wellbeing of our students is our highest priority. In line with the Child Safe Standards, our school is committed to having clear processes in place for responding to and reporting suspected child abuse, breaches of conduct, and any form of professional misconduct.
This Child Safety Reporting Form below can be used by students, parents/carers, staff members, volunteers, and other members of our school community. It is designed to report:
Suspected child abuse
Breaches of the Child Safe Adult Code of Conduct
Violations of Professional Boundaries by staff or other adults
Reports can be made online and will be handled sensitively and in accordance with our school’s child safety policies and reporting obligations.
This reporting tool is to be used for breaches of the Child Safe Adult* Code of Conduct and/or the Professional Boundaries of staff. So, this is about Reportable Conduct and/or Professional Misconduct.

*Who is considered an adult/staff member at Bhaktivedanta Swami Gurukula? This includes: The Principal, All teaching and non-teaching staff, Casual or temporary staff, Volunteers, Contractors and external education providers, Teaching students on placement, Parents/carers and other adult family members of students, Any adult visitor to the school.
