Our Food Policy
We are a lacto-vegetarian school. This means at school we do not consume meat (including fish and chicken), or eggs.
Please ensure your child/children have enough food with them for recess and for lunch. If they are doing after school activities we recommend packing some extra food.
Please ensure your child/children has plenty of fresh water to drink.
We encourage parents to provide healthy food, including fresh fruit and vegetables.
We discourage parents from providing food and drink containing sugar. We particularly discourage soft drinks, chips, chocolate, sweets and cakes.
We are actively working towards reducing excess waste from packaging through the Nude Food - Wipe Out Waste program. Please click here for more information on how to pack a waste free lunchbox.
Our P&C (Parents and Community Association) organises cooked lunches on Ekadasi days. These need to be ordered in advance. Costs are $4 for years Pre-K to 2, and $5 for years 3-10. The food will be served in the student's lunchbox. Please ensure the student still has packed food for recess.
Crunch & Sip
Grades K-2 participate daily in the Crunch and Sip program. Every morning during class time students are encouraged to drink water and eat a piece of fresh fruit or vegetable. Please ensure your child has something to consume during Crunch and Sip. Apples are particularly popular, because of our apple slinky machine!
